Biden visits Charleston to raise cash for Obamas re-election
Vice President Joe Biden is making his second trip to the Lowcountry in as many months as he is scheduled to arrive Tuesday for a private fundraiser at a local home.
Ticket prices for the private event start at $10,000, and all proceeds will go to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties, a campaign official said.
There was no official word on the timing or location of the event — or its potential impact on local traffic.
Biden visited Kiawah Island during Easter weekend, causing some traffic backup on Johns Island.
