Today Pet Helpers Adoptions
What: Pet Helpers will have animals available for adoption.

When: Noon-4 p.m. March 25
Where: Petco, 975 Savannah Hwy.

Beginner’s Doga
What: Classes begin with a 15 minute warm-up walk followed by approximately 35-40 minutes of doga. Bring a mat or towel, water and dog leash (no retractable leashes). Limit one dog per human.

When: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays or 6-7 p.m. Sundays

Where: Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd.

Price: $60; $51 for CAS adopters

Thursday Fear & Your Dog
What: This workshop will discuss methods to help dogs who are fearful of other dogs, people, objects and specific situations. Class is humans only.

When: 6:30-8 p.m. May 10
Where: Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd.

Price: $20 per family

Saturday 5K Run/walk
What: The Leslie McCravy Memorial 5K Run/Walk will benefit Pet Helpers. After-party to be held following the awards ceremony at Blu Restaurant & Bar, with music by Calhoun’s Calling.

When: 8 a.m. May 12
Where: Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier, 101 E. Arctic Ave., Folly Beach

Price: $30 adults, $15 children 12 and under

Puppy Club
What: Puppy Club members are invited to join a monthly play date to learn proper socialization techniques. Each month you must register as space is limited.

Rabies Clinic
What: Vaccine and microchip clinic for cats and dogs, open to the public. Offered through Pet Helpers.

When: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. May 12
Where: Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach Services, 1684 Brownswood Rd.

Price: Rabies and distemper vaccines free; microchip $15

Shepherd Rescue
What: Come meet some German Shepherd pups. Volunteers, foster homes and donations are always welcome.

When: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. May 12

Adopt-a-thon
What: Adoption counselors from the Francis R. Willis SPCA are on hand to help visitors find a new best friend.

Tuesday, May 15 Dog and Diapers
What: Class is designed for couples who are planning a family, are expecting or have a new baby. Babies who attend the class can be up to 6 months and not yet crawling or walking. Bring a copy of vaccination records to class.

When: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays beginning May 15

Where: Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd.

Price: $80; $68 for CAS adopters
