Three Citadel baseball players have a busy weekend ahead of them.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to play a three-game series at Davidson College beginning today, while the military school’s graduation ceremony is set for Saturday at McAlister Field House.

Seniors Nick Orvin, Justin Mackert and Damon Ardis will play for the Bulldogs in today’s 5 p.m. game at Davidson, then hustle back to Charleston. They will receive their degrees at The Citadel’s commencement exercises, which begin at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Then the trio will head back to Davidson, N.C., for a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Citadel (20-26, 9-12) is in seventh place in the Southern Conference heading into the series. Davidson (16-26, 7-17) is in ninth place as both teams fight for a spot in the eight-team SoCon tournament.
