Davidson downs The Citadel, 6-2, to take SoCon baseball series opener
DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Davidson’s Henry Sisson pitched a complete game to lead the Wildcats to a 6-2 win over The Citadel in the teams’ Southern Conference baseball series opener tonight.
Sisson (4-2) scattered six hits and allowed two runs to lead the Wildcats (17-26, 8-17). Calvin Orth had two hits for the Bulldogs (20-27, 9-13), while Austin Pritcher (5-4) allowed five runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Three Citadel players -- Justin Mackert, Nick Orvin and Damon Ardis -- will return to Charleston to take part in graduation Saturday morning before returning to Davidson for Sunday’s 1 p.m. doubleheader.
