Police seek Demetrius Antonio Burks for robbery in West Ashley
Warrants have been issued for a man Charleston police believe robbed two people at gunpoint early Thursday in West Ashley.
Demetrius Antonio Burks, 20, of 1900 Hazelwood Drive, Apt. N3, is charged by police with two counts of armed robbery and possession of a handgun during the commission of a violent crime.
The holdups happened at 2:45 p.m. at 2535 North Castle Lane, police said.
Burks is described as black, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 150 pounds.
Police are asking anyone with information about the crime, or knowledge of Burks’ whereabouts, to call police at 577-7434.
