No. 5 Gamecocks hold off Davidson, 2-1, in baseball

No. 5 South Carolina 2, Davidson 1
COLUMBIA — Five South Carolina pitchers combined to limit Davidson (16-26) to one run on five hits as the No. 5 Gamecocks won, 2-1, in baseball Wednesday at Carolina Stadium.

Kyle Martin drove in the winning run in the fourth inning to give the Gamecocks (34-11) the victory, and Evan Marzilli added a sacrifice fly. Matt Price closed out the win to earn his sixth save.
