Madagascar Journey Grand Opening: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 5. Starting this spring, the aquarium will give guests the opportunity to embark on their own Madagascar Journey. Visitors will travel through the planet’s richest landscape, exploring Madagascar’s sundry environment, wild species, vibrant flora and natural secrets. Guests of all ages will come face to face with lemurs, chameleons and some of the world’s most colorful fish.
Madagascar Lecture: 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 8. Join the aquarium for a first-hand discussion about the rich biodiversity of the world’s fourth largest island, Madagascar. Learn about the challenges of this developing country, sample traditional fare, and get a chance to explore the new Madagascar Journey exhibit without the daytime crowds. Mother’s Day at the Aquarium: Presented by Moms in the Know. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 13. All mothers are invited to join Moms in the Know and the aquarium. Mothers enjoy complimentary admission with a paying guest or child. Mothers will be recognized during daily programs, including the popular interactive dive shows. Offer valid only on May 13.
World Turtle Day Celebration: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 20. Celebrate this special day for turtles at the aquarium. Take one of the four tours of the Sea Turtle Hospital. Tour tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids in addition to ticket cost.
World Oceans Day: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. June 8. Explore the aquatic exhibits of the aquarium, including the Great Ocean Tank. Holding more than 385,000 gallons of water, watch as sharks, amberjacks, a loggerhead sea turtle and more swim around in an ocean home. Learn more about our oceans, ocean diversity and ecology during daily dive shows.
Father’s Day at the Aquarium: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. June 17. Fathers can spend their holiday at the aquarium with complimentary admission. Fathers also will be recognized during daily programs, including the popular interactive dive shows. Offer only valid on June 17.
