Citadel to hold science, engineering camps for children
The STEM Center of Excellence at The Citadel will host summer camps to engage students in science, technology, engineering and math.
Lego MINDSTORMS Robotics Camp: June 11-15. Grades 4-7 will design, build and program robots.
Scratch Video Game Design: June 11-15. Grades 6-8. Scratch is a programming language for animation, games, music and art.
The Terra Ignota Project: July 19, Aug. 1-3. Grades 6-12. This challenge uses remote-controlled vehicles to investigate and evalu- ate “a newly discovered planet.”
Camp Invention: July 23-27. Grades 1-6 . Students learn skills such as problem solving and teamwork.
