Wando Boys JV Soccer team wins tournament

Wando High School’s boys JV soccer team won a championship game against Irmo High School.

The Wando Boys JV Soccer team competed in the Irmo High School JV Soccer tournament in Columbia.

Wando earned a No. 1 seed heading into the semi-finals by winning against AC Flora (1-0) and Dutch Fork (2-0).

In the semi-finals, Wando led Spring Valley with a score of 2-1. Wando won the final championship game against Irmo (1-0).

Freshman Lejend Bain was awarded MVP honors for the tournament.

In addition to Lejend, Wando players include Alex Bourland, Dylan Carlson, Mathew Clark, Greg Corbishley, Sikes Dorsey, Reid Fletcher, Austin Foster, Basil Gaspar, Cole Haberman, Tucker Heffron, Patrick Herns, Omar Ibrahim, Josh Masten, Ryan Meade, Ramon Medina, Jon Milligan, Josh Murray, Blake Pierce, Thomas Riano, Nicholas Richardson, Clayton Rosenbaum, Walter Shaffer.

They are coached by Mark Hladek and Nathan Belcher.
