SOA students excel in S.C., Fla. choral competitions
Charleston County School of the Arts’ Middle School Singers placed first with both its mixed and lyric choirs at the South Carolina Music Educators’ Association’s Middle School Choral Festival.
After performing at the state competition, the students headed to Orlando, Fla., to perform at the Worldstrides Heritage Festival, where they received a “Gold” plaque, the Adjudication Trophy and a Soloist Award.
Robin Rogers and Heather Hammond are the directors of the program.
