Today Farmers market
What: The North Charleston Farmers Market is every Thursday through Oct. 25. Live music every first, third and fifth Thursday and visual art demonstrations every second and fourth Thursday.

When: Noon-7 p.m. Thursdays; entertainment 4-6 p.m.

Soccer tryouts, evaluation
What: Tryouts for boys and girls ages 13-18 for Classic and Challenge teams will be held at Bishop England High School track, 363 Seven Farms Drive, Daniel Island. Evaluations for ages 8-12 will be at Daniel Island Soccer Academy Complex.

Price: Evaluation and tryout fee is $20 per player, $30 for two or more players in the same family.

Friday WomenBuild tasting
What: Sea Island Habitat will hold a wine tasting to raise funds for its 2012 WomenBuild project. All proceeds will go to WomenBuild.

Choral Evensong
What: The CSU Concert Singers will sing the Dyson “Magnificat” and “Nunc Dimittis in D,” Paul Spicer’s “Preces and Responses” and “Beati quorum via” in preparation for a week’s residency in June at Canterbury Cathedral in England. CSU Professor of Music Dr. Valerie Bullock will conduct the group and the guest organist will be English Morris from St. Martin in the Fields, Columbia.

Benefit Poker Run
What: The Law Riders second annual “100 Miles for Meals” Benefit Poker Run. The run will start at LowCountry Harley-Davidson and will end at Firewater Grille. Sign in at 9:30 a.m. at Low Country Harley-Davidson. Last bike out at 11 a.m. Dinner and door prizes follow the ride.

The Tams concert
