Commuter alert: Cruise ship will be at Port of Charlestons Union Pier on Friday
The Carnival Fantasy is scheduled to arrive for a turnaround call early Friday, the State Ports Authority said today.
Passengers will debark beginning at 7 a.m.
Another group of cruisers will arrive and sail later in the day.
From 11 a.m. until about 4 p.m., or until the embarkation process is completed, part of Concord Street will be closed from north of Market Street to the intersection south of Hasell Street on Washington Street.
During the embarkation, for access to and from areas just north of the SPA’s Union Pier Terminal, commuters are encouraged to use Calhoun and Laurens streets.
Early luggage drop-off begins at 9 a.m.
The Fantasy returns for its next turnaround on Wednesday.
