Girls soccer team straps on running shoes for 5K event

Besides playing soccer, the South Carolina United Mount Pleasant 97 Palmetto girls also got together to run in the Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation’s 7th Annual 5K Benefit Run on April 18.

The girls participated in the run that started and finished at the Charleston Maritime Center. Running in the event were Kaitlyn Black, Susie Pearce, Bailey Pope, Erika Andrade, Melissa Marable, Jessica Mellin, Cassidy Posma, Skyler Hobcroft, Natalie Drouillard, Kelley Duris, Logan Leask, Madyson Reed, Caitlin Hedrick and Isabelle Luckie.
