The Charleston RiverDogs hired Camden native Rebecca Woolard to join Sean Houston in the radio booth to broadcast home games this season for the New York Yankees’ Class A affiliate.

Woolard, who is preparing to graduate from the University of South Carolina’s Master of Mass Communications program, will make her debut as the color analyst when the RiverDogs begin a seven-game homestand Wednesday night against Lakewood.

“I believe that Sean and Rebecca will make a great team,” said Charleston general manager Dave Echols. “And our fans that listen to our games will certainly enjoy their broadcast.”

A 2010 graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in communication, Woolard has gained experience as a producer, director, anchor, reporter and photographer with Carolina News at USC. She also interned with College of Charleston’s Department of Athletics’ multimedia department and Cougar Television. She also spent time at WACH-TV in Columbia and with WCBD-TV in Charleston.

Woolard will also work as a primary videographer for the club’s “Be Your Own Fan” initiatives.
