Crawdads upend Dogs
HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory scored six runs in the sixth inning and held on for a 6-4 win in South Atlantic League baseball action on Monday.
The Crawdads (16-8) were hitless and trailing 2-0 entering the bottom of the sixth, but all that changed in a hurry.
Reymond Nunez blasted a two-run home run in the eighth for the RiverDogs (16-7).
The RiverDogs start a seven-game homestand Wednesday, when they host Lakewood.

RHP Scottie Allen (1-2, 4.95 ERA) is the scheduled starter for the RiverDogs and LHP Ethan Stewart (0-1, 1.33 ERA) will be on the mound for the BlueClaws. Scheduled first pitch time is 7:05 p.m.
