Madagascar exhibit with lemurs opens Saturday at S.C. Aquarium

Ring-tailed lemurs are about to steal the show at the S.C. Aquarium.

The waterfront tourist attraction on peninsular Charleston will open its new “Madagascar” exhibit on Saturday.

Aquarium staff previewed the exhibit with media Tuesday morning to create buzz for the latest exotic animal to crawl, climb or walk into the facility.

Expect to see a Nile crocodile, chameleons, frogs, parrots, stingrays, fish and other animals as part of the new exhibit that includes a rain forest and mangroves.
