ATLANTA — Spencer Kieboom had a grand slam and a career-high five RBIs as Clemson made Jack Leggett’s 1,900th career baseball game as a head coach a memorable one, as the Tigers pounded out 17 hits in a 13-7 win over Georgia Tech on Saturday.
The Tigers (25-19, 13-10 ACC), who evened the series 1-1, face the Yellow Jackets (26-18, 10-13) again today at 1 p.m.
Kieboom’s slam in the fourth inning broke a 2-2 tie.
Mike Kent (1-1) entered the game with no outs in the fifth inning and pitched the rest of the game to earn the win.
He allowed just four hits, one run, and no walks with one strikeout in five innings pitched to earn the win.
