Lowcountry in a Day photo contest winner is Melissa Habrat
Wow! Our Lowcountry in a Day photo contest sure generated a lot of buzz. With more than 60 entries, we certainly got more than we expected.
Of course, no contest is complete without a little controversy. Despite that, we are proud to announce that Melissa Habrat of Summerville is our winner. Here’s what she had to say about her photo:
“This image was taken at Cypress Gardens in Moncks Corner as a rare bit of sunlight cut through the fog (which can still be seen behind the cypress trees in the background). Some remaining spring flowers hold on to add just a small bit of vibrant color to the otherwise dark colored morning.”
While Melissa’s picture earned the most votes, we wanted to show a little love to all of our contestants. You’ll be able to see all the entries in two photo galleries at postandcourier.com/galleries.
Thanks to all who entered and for the feedback, which we’ll consider for our next contest.
