Prevention magazine names top three healthiest-for-your-hair blow dryers
Heat causes breakage and split ends, so “the longer your dryer takes, the more damaged your hair gets,” says Los Angeles stylist Jacqueline Bush. Prevention asked her to test five new hair dryers on shoulder-length hair.
First Place: The Paul Mitchell Express Ion Dry TurboLight ($220; paulmitchell.com) got the job done in just under 10 minutes.
Second Place: With a high-powered motor, the John Frieda Full Volume Dryer ($50; johnfrieda.com) finished in 14 minutes.
Third Place: The Remington Keratin Therapy Hair Dryer ($40; remingtonproducts.com) took 17 minutes but left hair with the most shine.
