CLEMSON – Clemson reserve quarterback Tony McNeal suffered a torn ACL in Saturday’s spring game, the program announced Monday. McNeal suffered the injury on the final play from scrimmage. The Chester native redshirted last season and entered Saturday trailing Tajh Boyd, Cole Stoudt and Morgan Roberts on the depth chart. McNeal will likely miss the entire 2012 season.

Two other Clemson players had what are considered to be minor surgeries Monday, each procedure was planned. Freshman center Jay Guillermo has surgery on his shoulder, while Roberts had surgery on his ankle. Both are expected to be able to resume workouts this spring.
