Man shot to death in Beaufort County
BEAUFORT — Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man about 10 miles northwest of Beaufort.
Deputies were called to a home in the Seabrook community about 2 p.m. Tuesday and found 23-year-old Octavis Moultrie of Beaufort. He was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Deputy Coroner David Ott says an autopsy is planned at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Beaufort County sheriff’s Sgt. Robin McIntosh says investigators don’t know what led to the shooting. McIntosh said officers are not getting much cooperation from those who live in the area.
No suspects have been identified.
