Honda SUVs
Honda says it is recalling more than 550,000 CR-V and Pilot SUVs because the low-beam headlights can fail. The automaker says it will fix a problem with the headlight wiring. Affected vehicles include 2002-2004 CR-Vs and 2003 Pilots.

Honda says there isn’t enough slack in the wiring leading to the headlight switch. Over time the wires can work their way loose and cut off the low-beam lights. Owners will get recall notices in the mail starting in late April. They can check to see if their SUVs are part of the recall by going to www.recalls.honda.com or by calling 800-999-1009 and picking option four.

Toy vehicles, playsets
About 31,000 Tumblekins Toys distributed by International Playthings LLC, of Parsippany, N.J., and made by Lishui Treetoys Trading Co. Ltd., of China. They were sold at stores nationwide and on various websites from March through December 2011.

The Tumblekins toy vehicles and playsets include the farm playset, fire station, police car, roadster, off-roader, fire truck and school bus. T“Tumblekins” and “Made in China” are printed on the toys.

The toys can break into small pieces with sharp points, posing choking and laceration hazards to children. The firm has received one report of a toy breaking into small pieces. Details: by phone at 800-445-8347, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Bicycles
About 10,500 Fuji Saratoga Women’s Bicycles imported by Advanced Sports Inc. of Philadelphia, Pa., and sold at specialty bicycle stores nationwide from November 2007 through December 2011. The Fuji women’s cruiser bicycles includes the 2008 through 2010 models Saratoga 1.0, Saratoga 2.0, Saratoga 3.0 and Saratoga 4.0. The bicycles came in various colors. They were manufactured in China.

The bicycle’s frame can break in the center during use and cause the rider to lose control, posing a fall hazard. The company is aware of 12 reports of bicycle frames breaking, including two injuries. Details: by phone at 888-286-6263 weekdays, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. EST; online at www.fujibikes.com .

Bike handlebar stems
About 300 Mountain Bicycle Handlebar Stems imported by Shimano American Corp. of Irvine, Calif., manufactured by Post Moderne Corp. of Taiwan, and sold at REI, bicycle specialty stores and dealers nationwide from October 2009 to November 2010.

The stem consists of a metal alloy body and front plate and four alloy bolts. The stem body is black with red markings and has the word “PRO” in four places on the sides and the word “Atherton.” The front plate is black and silver with the “PRO” logo in the center.

The bolts holding the front plate of the stem to the stem body can be pulled out of the threads while the bike is being ridden and cause the rider to lose control of the bike, posing a fall hazard.
