Clemson linebacker suffers injury and will miss remainder of spring
CLEMSON - Clemson linebacker Stephone Anthony will miss the final week of spring practice after tearing a ligament in his finger. The injury will require surgery early this week but Clemson expects him to be ready for fall practice.
The five-star prospect from the 2011 class is expected to be a starting linebacker and impact player on Brent Venables’ defense this fall. Anthony led the Clemson linebackers with six tackles for loss last season.
Clemson sophomore defensive tackle DeShawn Williams (knee sprain) will return to practice this week.
Clemson wraps up spring practice with the spring game at 4 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
