Elise Testone knocks Whole Lotta Love out of the park, advances on American Idol.
Riding a wave of momentum, Charleston music teacher Elise Testone, 28, cruised into the safety zone Thursday night on “American Idol.”
Her dynamic renditon of the Led Zeppelin anthem “Whole Lotta Love” on Wednesday’s show had the judges exulting once again, saying she took charge of the stage from the opening note.
“I don’t know if anyone can sing that song, but you did it proud tonight,” said rocker Steven Tyler.” Jennifer Lopez added, “That’s the real rock star stuff, girl.”
If you win on soul, not technique, as another one observer said, Testone may be in the driver’s seat.
Testone, who teaches at Music Unlimited in Mount Pleasant, is the daughter of New Jersey residents LuAnne and Victor Testone.
She is a 2005 graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Music.
