NEW YORK -- The 11th annual Tribeca Film Festival in downtown Manhattan will kick things off with comedy.

"The Five-Year Engagement" will open the festival on April 18, it was announced Wednesday. The film re-teams Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, who together made "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and co-wrote last year's "The Muppets."

The film, produced by Judd Apatow, stars Segel and Emily Blunt as a perpetually engaged couple.

The festival will run through April 29.

Tribeca will announce its feature film slate in early March.
