Citadel wins second straight

The Citadel won a second straight basketball game for the first time in more than a year tonight, taking a 62-51 victory over Appalachian State at McAlister Field House.

Mike Groselle scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (6-22, 3-14 Southern Conference), who end the regular season against College of Charleston at 3 p.m. Saturday at McAlister.

Bo Holston registered his first double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and C.J. Bray added 10 points and seven rebounds. App State fell to 12-16 overall and 7-10 in the SoCon while making just 3 of 22 from 3-point range.
