Jennings continues surge in Clemson win over Georgia Tech
Clemson forward Milton Jennings continued his post-suspension surge with a team-best 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting Tuesday and Clemson held Georgia Tech to its lowest scoring output in 30 years in a 56-37 win in Atlanta.
Clemson (14-13, 6-7 ACC) last held an opponent to fewer than 40 points on Nov. 17, 2009, when it held Liberty to 39 points. Clemson had not held Georgia Tech to 40 points or fewer in 80 years. Clemson held Georgia Tech to its lowest point total since 1980.
Clemson has won seven of the last nine games in the rivalry.
Jennings is shooting above 40 percent from 3 in ACC play. Jennings added five rebounds (four offensive) and had just one turnover in 24 minutes Tuesday. Jennings was suspended two games earlier this month for a breach of the team's academic policy but has played some of the best basketball of his career in his return.
