Party tonight at FUEL restaurant celebrates TV appearance

The place to be tonight is FUEL restaurant at 211 Rutledge Ave., which is celebrating its appearance on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" with a watch party and donations to the Lowcountry Food Bank.

FUEL will be featured on the show at 10 p.m. today, at 1 a.m. Tuesday and 9 p.m. Feb. 24.

Doors open at 4 p.m. for the watch party, which includes drink specials, live music and the show projected on a large screen. Menu items highlighted during the episode — Ho-Cakes, Braised Pork Tacos, and the Grilled Jerk Chicken Sandwich — will be available.

Admission is a nonperishable food item that will go to the Lowcountry Food Bank. Also, the restaurant is donating $1 of every item ordered that is featured on the show to the food bank.
