Seven people were arrested when authorities raided a suspected meth lab Tuesday in Walterboro.

The Colleton County Sheriff's Office, joined by state and federal agents, searched the residence of 39-year-old Thomas Greer McMillan at 3460 Sidney's Road, Sheriff George Malone said.

The sheriff's Crime Suppression Unit had learned that the home was being used to manufacture methamphetamine, he said.

A working meth lab was found as a result of a search, and seven people were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and other drug-related charges, Malone said.

He said agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force and State Law Enforcement Division joined deputies in the search of, and disposal of, the meth lab.

In addition to McMillan, those arrested were Michael Vogt, 23, and Christina Marie Epley, 22, both of Round O; and Charles Benjamin Mangum, 43; Edgar Lyons, 44; Jamie Leigh Crosby, 31; and John Lucas Craven, 29, all of Walterboro.

They were taken to the Colleton County Detention Center.
