Outage affects 5,000 Comcast TV customers

About 5,000 Comcast cable television customers went without service for most of Wednesday after an equipment malfunction, a spokesman for the company said Thursday.

The outage began Tuesday evening and lasted until Wednesday night.

Service was fully restored late Wednesday, Comcast spokesman Brian Farley said.

Customers with questions about an adjustment to their bills because of the outage should call 1-800-COMCAST.
