Clear day, cool night on tap for the Lowcountry

There's some patchy fog this morning and it will be partly cloudy before clearing and reaching a high temperature in the mid-60s, according to the National Weather Service.

The wind will pick up throughout the day with gusts from 10-15 mph by this afternoon. Then look for a cool night with lows in the mid-30s and clear skies.

The extended forecast:

Today: Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Calm wind becoming west between 5 and 8 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 39. North wind around 6 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 59. North wind between 6 and 13 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Calm wind becoming south between 6 and 9 mph.

Friday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 62.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 31.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50.
