Chase end, high-five in new video released by Sheriff's Office
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office released a second video late Friday from the 25-mile chase.
It was recorded Monday from the dashboard-mounted camera of an officer who arrived on the scene just as Timothy Shawn McManus stepped out of his pickup and was first approached by a deputy.
The dashcam mostly shows material not seen in the previously released video, culminating with the same scene of multiple deputies punching McManus and a sheriff's dog attacking him.
The latest video shows:
--The lieutenant finally catching up to McManus in Francis Marion National Forest, with both traveling more than 100 mph at times and racing past cruisers posted along the route.
--McManus swerving around stop sticks but finally losing control as tires are shot out.
--The truck sliding to a stop on a dirt road and McManus immediately getting out.
--A deputy moving toward McManus with his pistol trained on him. The deputy then punches him and pulls him down by the collar. The deputy holsters his handgun and then repeatedly hits McManus as other deputies and the dog move in.
--Two deputies high-fiving each other after the arrest.
