S.C. Democrats to hold primaries
South Carolina's Republicans aren't the only ones making their presidential pick this winter. Democrats across the state also will hold primaries as they reorganize their precincts.
Charleston County's primary will be Saturday.
Their primary lacks the drama of last week's GOP event: President Barack Obama has no challenger.
Still, registered voters who did not participate in the Jan. 21 Republican presidential primary may attend these Democratic meetings and vote for Obama, as well as for party precinct officers.
Many meetings also will feature a speaker, and they will help decide who is eligible to go to the state Democratic convention in Columbia May 12.
