Will she survive?

That’s the big question for Charleston resident Chelsea Meissner, a 26-year-old medical sales representative slated to appear on the CBS superhit, “Survivor: One World,” which premiers at 8 p.m. on Feb. 15.

It’s the 24th season of the Emmy Award-winning series which, this year, will divide 18 contestants into two tribes, one male (Manono), the other female (Salani). The names come from the Samoan Islands.

Meissner is a state champion equestrian rider and athlete who likes golf, hunting and wakeboarding, according to a CBS biography. “I am extremely creative and am known for turning nothing into something,” she wrote for her TV bio. “I have experience spear fishing and hunting. I am also good at making people laugh to lighten the mood.”

She will not be the only South Carolina contestant. Jay Byars, a 25-year-old model from Gaffney will also struggle to survive.
