RUFFIN - A man was shot dead early Saturday morning in rural Colleton County.
Sheriff's deputies responded about 2:30 a.m. to a call at Trails End Road, about a mile south of Bells Crossroads, authorities said. Authorities said they received a call from the homeowner, who said someone was stealing items from her shed.
