The Gamecocks defeated Clemson last year, 29-7.

One of the most highly anticipated games in the history of the football rivalry between Clemson and South Carolina will be in prime time.

Kickoff for the Nov. 26 game at Williams-Brice Stadium is set for 7:45 p.m. and the game will be shown on ESPN.

The teams have played 108 times since first meeting in 1896, and only five times were both teams ranked when they played. Heading into this weekend's games, Clemson (9-1) is No. 7 in The Associated Press poll. USC (8-2) is No. 14.

In 2000, No. 16 Clemson beat No. 25 USC, 16-14. In 1988, No. 15 Clemson beat No. 25, USC 29-10. In 1987, No. 12 USC beat No. 8 Clemson, 20-7. And in 1979, No. 19 USC beat No. 13 Clemson, 13-9.

Clemson has already locked up the Atlantic Division's spot in the ACC championship game. The Gamecocks need Kentucky to win at Georgia on Saturday in order to make their second consecutive SEC Championship game.

Clemson travels to N.C. State this week, while USC hosts The Citadel. USC has won two straight against Clemson, but the Tigers lead the series, 65-39-4. USC coach Steve Spurrier is 3-3 against Clemson.
