North Area residents to cast votes Nov. 8
North Charleston voters will choose among 20 candidates in eight competitive races in the Nov. 8 City Council election.
Meanwhile, two City Council seats are unopposed, meaning incumbents Rhonda Jerome in District 2 and Sam Hart in District 7 are practically assured of serving another term.
All the seats are nonpartisan and run for four-year terms.
In Moncks Corner, four candidates are running for three open council seats. Town Council seats are elected at-large, so each council member represents the whole town.
In Lincolnville, three incumbents and a challenger are campaigning for three seats on Town Council in open voting.
