Fest to mark Red Ribbon Week

The Berkeley County Prevention Board will sponsor the 21st annual Family Fest Picnic in the Park at Old Santee Canal Park during the national celebration of Red Ribbon Week.

The picnic will serve as the kickoff to Red Ribbon Week for Berkeley County and will be held 1-4:30 p.m. Sunday. Bring a blanket and chairs. There will be entertainment, food vendors for the family and a jump castle for the children.

A free T-shirt will be given to the first 100 to sign the drug-free pledge, and there will be free park admission to anyone wearing red. This year's theme is "It's Up to Me to be Drug Free.
