Four new names have been etched on The Citadel School of Education's Wall of Fame.

Anita Zucker, Terry Berkeley, David Roemer and Kay Woelfel have been honored for distinguishing themselves as educators or as champions of public education.

Zucker is a longtime public education activist.

Berkeley is a 1966 Citadel graduate and professor and chairman of Early Childhood Education at Towson University.

Roemer teaches science, technology, engineering and math at Wando High School. He's also the recipient of the first Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Teacher of the Year award.

Woelfel is a former professor of educational leadership at The Citadel and nationally prominent educational administrator.

Tony Johnson, dean of the School of Education, said, "The accomplishments of the 2011 Wall of Fame inductees are illustrative of the School of Education's leadership in support of The Citadel's strategic initiative to provide outreach to the region and serve as a resource in its economic development."

The school has been honoring educators with the wall for the past four years.
