Constitution Week

What: Celebrate the U.S. Constitution at Charles Pinckney National Historic Site. Free events through Sept. 24. Living History Days on Sept. 23-24 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and "I Signed the Constitution" all week from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Karpeles Museum

What: A new exhibit will be open to the public through December. Fifteen documents are about the founding of the Boy Scouts of America, along with 10 additional manuscripts relating to the Depression and New Deal. Admission and parking are free.

Preservation talk

What: Class designed for women will be conducted by Bill Walsh from Live 5 News and USCG-certified Capt. Tom Harper. Walsh will discuss how the weather affects boating lifestyle, how to read clouds and the best places to find weather information. Harper will discuss the entire area of boating from knots to backing up a boat trailer. Limited space.

What: The 65th Anniversary Homecoming celebration will feature a special service by visiting minister Miyoung Paik. Bring a dish dinner after service and burying of a time capsule in our new prayer garden. All are welcome.

Hole Lot of Fun

What: September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. To raise awareness for childhood cancer, Chase After a Cure has teamed with Blackbeard's Cove for a "Hole Lot of Fun." This family event consists of unlimited golf, Go-Karts, Jump Castles, DJ, indoor play land, climbing wall, mini golf tournament, arcade, popsicles and more. Food and adult beverages will be available.

Day of Remembrance

What: National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims honors the memories of murder victims and recognizes impact on surviving family members and loved ones. Event includes a brief ceremony with remarks by community leaders, musical performances, and a reading of victims' names. No RSVP required.
