Business surpasses goal to help military
Kangaroo Express station No. 877 raised recently $11,000.02 as part of the company's effort to support the armed forces. The Sullivan's Island Station beat its goal of raising $10,000 before the campaign ended on Labor Day.
Station manager Joe Wilhite said he thanks the Kangaroo Express family, his employees and the entire Sullivan's Island community for their support.
"Without all of them, none of this would have been possible," Wilhite said.
Money raised will be donated to USO, the Wounded Warrior Project and the South Carolina Military and Family Care Association.
