Sculpture in the South has facilitated the purchase of a memorial sculpture for the Dorchester County Library's Summerville location.

The sculpture, "Catch and Release" by Vala Ola, is a representation of a small boy with a lizard in hand.

Diane and Ed Roth donated the bronze in memory of her parents, Opal and Phil Hass.

The figure is being installed in the children's section of the Seago Library, 76 Old Trolley Road, Summerville.

The dedication will be at 3 p.m. today. Refreshments will be served.

Sculpture in the South is a nonprofit organization, based in Summerville, with a mission of installing sculpture in the town and providing education about the arts.
