Otranto garden club to gather Sept. 21

The Garden Club of Otranto will reconvene Sept. 21.

New officers for 2011-13 are co-presidents, June Van Steyn and Virginia Chinnes; vice president, Ann Yarborough; recording secretary, Denise LaRue; corresponding secretary, Sara Baker; and treasurer, Vera Carson.

The Garden Club theme for the year is "Proudly Serving Our Members and Community." Yard of the Month was awarded to a home on Sorrento Boulevard for July and Revenna Avenue for August. Garden Spot of the Month was awarded to a home on Sorrento for July and a home on Sabina Court for August.
