GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Daniel Black and Ryan Fisher smacked home runs as the Greensboro Grasshoppers defeated the Charleston RiverDogs, 11-6, in South Atlantic League baseball Wednesday night in front of 3,634 fans at NewBridge Bank Park.

Ramon Flores and Kelvin De Leon launched back-to-back home runs in the second straight loss for the RiverDogs (9-11 second half, 35-55 overall). Eduardo Sosa went 4 for 5 to lift his average to .290.

Noah Perio and Marcell Ozuna each had four hits to lead a 13-hit attack for the Grasshoppers (11-9, 51-39), who won their fourth straight game.

Charleston took a 2-1 lead in the top of the second, highlighted by an RBI single by Anderson Feliz.

But it was all Greensboro from there.

The Grasshoppers tied it in the bottom of the inning, then broke the game open with a five-run fourth inning and a four-run sixth to go up 11-2.

Charleston scored four in the seventh -- highlighted by Flores' ninth homer of the season and De Leon's 11th -- for the final margin.

RiverDogs starter Scottie Allen (3-1) lasted four innings, allowing seven runs on 10 hits.

Rett Varner (5-2) gave up six runs over 6 2/3 innings, but picked up the win. Michael Ojala and Grant Dayton teamed to shut out Charleston for the final 2 1/3 innings.
