Two Clemson players taken in MLB draft

Clemson players Brad Miller and Will Lamb were chosen Tuesday on the second day of the Major League Baseball draft.

Miller, a shortstop, was taken in the second round by the Seattle Mariners with the 62nd overall pick. Will Lamb, an outfielder/pitcher, was also picked in the second round by Texas, the 83rd pick overall. Lamb, a 6-6 junior, projects as a left-handed pitcher in pro ball.

State players picked so far: RHP Taylor Guerrieri, Spring Valley HS (1st round, No. 24, Tampa Bay); OF Jackie Bradley Jr., USC (1st round, No. 40, Boston); SS Brad Miller, Clemson (2nd round, No. 62, Seattle); RHP Anthony Meo, Coastal Carolina (2nd round, No. 63, Arizona); LHP Will Lamb, Clemson (2nd round, No. 83, Texas).
