Krispy Kreme Donut Run set Saturday
Eating donuts is fun but unhealthy. Running a 5K is not as fun but healthy. Combine the two and what do you get? A donut run.
Yes, people, it has come to this. But the second annual Charleston Krispy Kreme Donut Run, set for 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Elementary School in Charleston, will benefit Metanoia and SideWalk Chalk.
Those who want to "compete" must eat 12 donuts and run a 5K, but you can sign up to eat and walk.
The cost to register ranges from $10 to $35. If you want to register online, though, you'd better hurry. The deadline is noon today. After that, you have to register in person. More at www.charlestondonutrun.com.
