February is a month for lovers. Valentine's Day is full of foil hearts and romantic events specifically for those couples in love. But what about all of those single people out there? I've gathered together several events in February in March that will give you singles a shot of romance—and a chance to meet that someone special.

A RED Hot Valentines Party

Single? Over 35? Then this event is for you. On February 11th at 6:00 p.m., Singles in the City Social Network will host a Valentine's Day event that's totally red hot. Dress in red and dig in to some delicious appetizers, red desserts, and cocktails at a private downtown residence. The event costs $20 in advance. Network representative Lucia Galasso states that attendees "can expect to meet other quality singles over 35 in a non-threatening, laid-back atmosphere with no expectations. Whether divorced, widowed, or single by choice, it's a great opportunity to get back into the social swing." The event is limited to the first 12 women and the first 12 men that RSVP, so visit singlesinthecitysocialnetwork.com or call 843-793-1261 to sign up now.

Low Country Harley-Davidson Singles Party

Low Country Harley-Davidson, Kickin' 95.9, and Market Street Saloon have combined forces to create the ultimate singles event. On February 12th at 6:00 p.m., 100 single men and women will gather together for speed dating, food, drinks, and a chance to win the grand prize of the evening: a Kid Rock/Jamey Johnson Concert Prize Pack. Event planner Jennifer Oldal says that a single person can expect the following from this event: "No cheesy pick-up lines, no awkward silences, no scary surprise when the lights come on at closing time." Just good, clean fun with a bunch of single folks! Hurry because this event is only open to the first 50 men and the first 50 women that pre-register at kickin959.com.

Charles Towne Pub Stroll

According to the folks behind the Charles Towne Pub Stroll, alcohol and history go hand-in-hand. Chances are, after participating in one of their strolls, you'll agree with them! Every Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m., climb on board for a pub stroll where you can learn about the history of Charleston and the history of some of its historic pubs. Event representative Alan Stello says that the stroll is a perfect event for singles because "It's fun! You'll learn something while being entertained." The strolls are priced at $15 per guest. To sign up for the pub stroll, visit www.pubstroll.com or call 843-345-9714.

Shagging and Socializing

The Beach Music and Shag Preservation Society of South Carolina knows how much fun shagging is—and how it sets up the perfect opportunity for romantic sparks to fly. Each month, the society hosts a singles event focused on having a good time. Due to relocation, there will be no event this month—but they'll be ready and raring to go on March 26th at 8:00 p.m. Join the society and D.J. Gerry Scott at their new location off of Highway 61, in the Wespanee Shopping Center, for dancing, socializing, drinks, and good times. Event planner Harriet Grady says that the event is perfect "to meet other singles who like music and like to dance. We have light hors d'oeuvres, a variety of music, and even teach a shag lesson."
