The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is looking for man suspected of shooting a West Ashley woman Saturday evening.
Deputies said Ronald David Ratliff, 41, is wanted in connection with the shooting of a 66-year-old woman about 6:40 p.m. at a home at 1834 Debbenshire Drive.
Deputies found the woman critically injured from a gunshot wound when they arrived at the scene, according to a news release from Maj. John Clark of the Sheriff's Office. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses on the scene said Ratliff was the suspect in the shooting, the release stated.
Ratliff is thought to be driving a white 2004 Ford Econoline Van with South Carolina license plate number EPP-250.
The suspect is described as being 5 foot 10 inches tall and roughly weights 210 pounds. He has scars on his neck and tattoos on his back, shoulders and upper right arm. He is thought to be armed with a small-caliber hand gun that was used in the shooting incident.
