A man died Tuesday night after he was hit by a car in West Ashley.
Kevin Gibbs, 37, of Charleston, died of blunt head trauma, Charleston County Deputy Coroner Bobbi Jo O'Neal said.
Gibbs was struck as he was running across Sam Rittenberg Boulevard from Skylark Drive, according to Charles Francis, public information officer for the Charleston Police Department.
Francis said Gibbs contributed to the incident and the motorist did not. No charges will be filed, he said.
