Teen injured at fair while waiting in line for ride

LADSON � A teen was injured by a ride while waiting in line Monday night at the Coastal Carolina Fair.

The 16-year-old female was struck in the head by a wheel while standing in line to ride The Zipper about 11:15 p.m. Monday, according to a Charleston County sheriff's office incident report.

The teen was taken to a local hospital with a contusion to the head.
